The Family "Chinchillidae" contains two separate types of animals Genus Chinchilla and Genus Viscacha and six species are grouped under that in the following manner: Viscachas are a different animal than chinchillas, they're just grouped together in the same Family classification in the same way that okapis are different from giraffes but they're both in the Family "Giraffidae.
